deception." "Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are

highest form of generalship is to balk the enemy's plans"  "Therefore
the skillful leader subdues the enemy's troops without any fighting;
he captures their cities without laying siege to them; he overthrows
their kingdom without lengthy operations in the field."

and so on, and so on (one can quote the entire book!).

Thus the motivation to talk about what are "their" resources, what are
their advantages, weaknesses, how do we thwart their usage of their
advantages, how do we compel them to move their forces, channeling
them into places where we can destroy them, how do we use our
resources, and so on.
