[gnso-idn-wg] Proposal on providing input from the IDN Working Group to Reserved Names Working Group on Geopolitical Names

 Dear members of the GNSO IDN Working Group,

 

Below is a proposal to the IDN Working Group that was discussed on its call
on 20 February, 2007. It is for review and discussion by Working Group
members, to see if it meets with support for implementation. 

 

Proposal to the IDN Working Group:

 

The IDN Working Group will offer expert advice and input on geographic and
geopolitical names, as they apply to IDN, to the Reserved Names Working
Group of the GNSO Council.

 

This proposal was made by the Chair, Ram Mohan, and seconded by Marilyn
Cade, on the call of the IDN Working Group that took place on 20 February,
2007. No disagreement with the proposal was voiced on the call, and it was
agreed to put this proposal to the mailing list of this working group to see
if it meets with support.

 

Please circulate to this list your view on the proposal by Friday, 2nd
March, 2007.
