[gnso-idn-wg] IDN Working Group proposal

Dear IDN Working Group members,

Following last week's (27 February)call, I was requested to send you a
proposal regarding
the interaction of this working group and the Protecting the Rights of
Others Sub-Group 
of the New gTLDs PDP Committee. 
 

Proposal to the IDN Working Group:

The IDN Working Group will offer expert advice and input on the question of
whether 
registrants should be treated differently to protect name in other languages
to the Protecting the Rights of Others Sub-Group of the New gTLDs PDP
Committee of the GNSO Council.

This proposal was made by the Mike Rodenbaugh (Commercial and Business
Users Constituency of the GNSO) on the call of the IDN Working Group that
took place on 27 February, 2007, and is forwarded to the Working Group on
the direction of the Chair, Ram Mohan.  

Please circulate to this list your view on the proposal by Monday, 12th
March.
