Request to Extend public comment period
As Chair of the ALAC, I would like to support and endorse the recent call from other constituencies, to extend the public comment period on GNSO improvements by 30 days until April 25th. Whilst an AdHoc Position Drafting WG was formed at the March ALAC meeting and we have run through a couple of drafts on our position paper, (which we will be finalising before going out to wider comment at a teleconference meeting on the 21st March at 1300 UTC)... An extension of public comment period would indeed allow for wider and better informed Internet user community input, and provide the opportunity for review and consideration of the points and positions raised by the 'Position to Board on GNSO Reform.doc' attached to the original request for extension.
