Hi folks,
Since folks appear uninterested in discussing workgroup policy issues
at the moment, I thought some might benefit from reading the article
on "Groupthink" at Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groupthink
It appears most of the following are present:
- Incomplete survey of alternatives
- Incomplete survey of objectives
- Failure to examine risks of preferred choice
- Failure to reevaluate previously rejected alternatives
- Poor information search
- Selection bias in collecting information
- Failure to work out contingency plans.
There's also a discussion on how to prevent groupthink.
Sincerely,
George Kirikos
