Speaking for myself as a participant in this PDP process, I don't think
taking a week off from our discussions is a bad thing.  There will be a
lot of other issues to focus on in Cairo.  Also, I'm not keen on having
to rehash issues for any ICANN attendee who happens to stumble upon our
meeting.

 

With that said, as Chair I will simply tally the views of the WG's
participants and respect whatever the group decides.

ICANN Staff has asked whether the IRTP PDP A Working Group members would
like to have an in-person meeting in Cairo.  This would be apart from
the WG update to the GNSO Council (date and time still TBD).  The
overall agenda is filling up quickly, so staff needs your views ASAP.
Please note: Working Group meetings held in conjunction with ICANN
meetings are normally open to the public.

Please post your response to this list.  Indicate if you plan to attend
ICANN Cairo, and whether you would like to have an in-person meeting
scheduled.  Call in arrangements would be made for those not traveling
to Egypt.  If there is no/little support, we will not have a meeting the
week of November 3, 2008.  One way or another, we will resume our
regular meeting schedule on November 10, 2008.
