Marilyn Cade has an extensive and highly visible history with ICANN and is 
committed to its success. She has demonstrated her commitment to ICANN through 
her participation in numerous aspects of the organization's work. Notably, her 
contribution to the work of the GNSO Council has been persistent and thorough.  

Ms. Cade has made known her belief in the importance of involving the broader 
ICANN community in policy work and planning, and regularly translates that 
belief into action. Her contribution to the development of ICANN's strategic 
plan ensured that several mechanisms for input from the community were 
developed and implemented.  These included a working session in Washington, DC, 
which was organized by Ms Cade and the ICANN Staff, and follow-up sessions at 
subsequent ICANN meetings. 

Ms. Cade has a thorough and well-demonstrated understanding of ICANN's mission 
and the potential impact of ICANN decisions on the global Internet community. 
She continues to be committed to the success of ICANN, and has solid working 
and experiential knowledge of the operation of gTLD registries and registrars; 
ccTLD registries; IP address registries; Internet technical standards and 
protocols; with policy-development procedures, legal traditions, and the public 
interest. Her work in organizing the cross constituency meetings that occur at 
each ICANN meeting is well-known and appreciated.
