There are fairness and due process issues with last minute changes to the
composition of WG's just immediately prior to votes/polls on completed work and
controversial issues.
The last work on subtask one is almost done.
This is the problem I have with recent events.
I apologize sincerely if I have given offence.
It's a due process issue and I am concerned here with the precedent as well as
our current situation and its execution.

Victoria,
What an interesting and puzzling weekend worth of reading! I must say I am
surprised by your responses and the various email exchanges. You indicate the
intention of your comments was not a personal attack, which to some degree I
understand especially since I have never met you, never spoken to you and never
communicated with you in any way. I do, however, resent that you presumed my
involvement would "waste" the hard work of the team and "destroy" efforts to
reform. As a new Councilor to the GNSO who has been in her seat for less than
2 weeks, your reaction is sadly the sort of thing that has unfortunately
overshadowed the excellent work that ICANN's multistakeholder model has
achieved and is presumed to encourage.
I regret that before you took that opportunity to oppose, complain and appeal
my desire to participate, you didn't take the opportunity to ask me (via email,
phone or carrier pigeon) why I am interested in the work of this WG and ICANN
generally. I think a simple exchange would have answered your questions and
perhaps provided the opportunity for future discussion. It is shame that you
didn't consider this option and rather resorted to creating your own theories
based on flawed, incorrect and frankly offensive assumptions. I am not aware
of the appeal or related politics you mentioned in the attached email and I was
not asked to join this WG by any person or group. If I am asked to participate
in the "appeal", I will gladly provide further details about my interest to
advocate on behalf of non-profit and philanthropic organizations (both large
and small) that use the Internet to further their humanitarian missions and
deliver critical services to their communities. I would have been happy to
talk to you about these interests, just as I had the same opportunity to
briefly explain my interest to help during the open WG meeting in Seoul.
I trust in the future you will understand that I welcome an open exchange about
any topic, including my desire to participate in ICANN and engage in WTs/WGs,
etc. I believe effective, frank, and fair communication should rule the day.
My contact information is below for future reference. I hope we will all be
able to work effectively to achieve the best results for the ICANN community.

Dear WG members and Olga and Michael, just to let you, having discussed the
issue with some of the WG members over the weekend, I propose to continue in
the WG. I hope we can see our long period of work through to timely and
successful completion.
