I've just finished listening to the MP3 from Friday's call.  I have a few 
comments and  have listed them below.

 

*       Translation into other languages.  I still am unclear as to who pays 
for the translation.  I checked the Toolkit document (Subtask 1.4) and did not 
see where it provided for language translation.  If that is the case, I think 
1). It should be made clear in Subtask 1.1 if translation is at the expense of 
the GROUP, and 2). If that is the case I don't agree with Victoria's statement 
on the call that the costs of translation is minimal.  Costs are relative and 
depending on the budget of a GROUP this may not be feasible.  
*       Section 2b discussion regarding all GROUPs being open to individuals - 
This provision does cannot apply to ALL GROUPs, and should continue to state 
that GROUPs are open to individuals "as applicable".  In order to be a member 
of the RrSG, one must be business that is an accredited registrar.  I believe 
this same requirement applies to the RySG, ISPCPC, etc., not to mention future 
GROUPs which are currently undefined.  I believe this is another example of a 
place where one size does not fit all and we must be careful we don't try to 
make "it" fit.

Hi,

thanks for your participation in a very active conference call today.

We revised the text prepared by Subworking team 1, leaded by SS.

We agreed in changes to the text that will be reflected in its new version in 
the wiki (thanks Julie for this!) upt to paragraph Section 1 b. Documents and 
comments sent by Krista were considered.

In relation with Paragraph Section 1 c, this new version detailed here includes 
a text suggested by Victoria (ALL CAPS).

c. All GROUPs shall improve inclusiveness and representativeness and shall 
explore the possibility to have differential fee structures based on ability to 
pay, in order to encourage increased representation from those living in less 
developed economies.
ALL GROUPS SHOULD HAVE A MECHANISM FOR ANY POTENTIAL MEMBER TO APPLY FOR A 
HADSHIP RELIEF FROM THE NORMAL FEE SCALE.

We did not agree on a final text, so please lets continue the discussion in 
this email list.

We also agreed to have our next conference call same time next Friday, January 
15th, with a duration of two hours.

Dear working team members,

I hope you had a nice holiday and I wish you all the best for this new year.

This is the proposed agenda for the conference call to be held next Friday, if 
you have questions or comments please let me know.

Remember that we agreed to prepare a list of concerns and comments about the 
documents, prior to the conference call. So I suggest that you sent them to 
this email list so they can be considered.

It will be needed that the subtask leader actively participate in the call 
where the document is reviewed. SS if you cannot make the call please let us 
know so we can decide how to proceed.

I am including at the end of the agenda the links to the documents updated into 
the wiki, which were provided by Julie.
