[gnso-osc-ops] GCOT Sydney meeting agenda

GCOT Team:

Please review Julie's e-mail below if you have not already. I believe this
provides to us the roadmap we asked for w/regards to the GNSO Council Rules
of Procedure and our next steps. Note this is a 28 page document where
Julie has made some recommended edits for us in the body/content. These are
my suggestions:

1. Focus our attention as a work team to this draft document (now
updated) during the first hour of our meeting in Sydney.
2. Pick up where we left off, which is Section 3.5 (Quorum) and 3.6
(Votes). Julie has offered some edits and let's pick up from there.
3. Discuss towards identifying the next sections for work team
discussion and updating.

Thus, I propose the above as our primary work team agenda for the Sydney
meeting on Sunday (13:00 - 14:15). As you are aware, our meeting with OSC
members is to start at 14:15 local time for 45 minutes. The agenda for this
part of the meeting is as follows:

1. Feedback/input/advice from OSC members on the kite document towards
resolution of whether to send out or not send out for broader community
feedback.
2. An update from OSC members of progress made by the other 2 OSC work
teams including challenges they may be facing and an understanding of how
each team's work is fitting into the whole.
3. Feedback from OSC members on the SOI/DOI work product recently
submitted for their review.

For the OSC part of the meeting, there should be printed handouts of the
kite document and the SOI/DOI document for the convenience of those
attending.

There will NOT be a handout of the Rules of Procedure document (updated by
Julie per the e-mail below). Here is the direct link to this document in
Microsoft Word. It is important we have this document handy for the first
part of the meeting, per the agenda above, to hit the ground running and
utilize our time effectively:

For those attending in person in Sydney, our meeting will be held in Level
2, Function Room 2, starting at 13:00 local time. As I have made aware, I
will not be physically attending this meeting in Sydney but plan to Chair
this meeting remotely. For others dialing in, below is the call-in
information for your convenience.

Thanks,

Subject: [gnso-osc-ops] ACTION ITEM UPDATE: OSC-GNSO Operations Work Team

Dear Work Team members,

Please find the attached document in response to this Action Item from the
10 June meeting:

3. GNSO Council Rules of Procedure: By 17 June: Julie Hedlund will work with
Rob Hoggarth and Ken Bour to produce a Rules of Procedure (RoP) working text
indicating the following 1) where Bylaws changes may impact the RoP; 2)
where the work of the PDP Work Team may impact the RoP; and 3) changes the
text to reflect the new bicameral structure.

This document also is posted on the Wiki at:
https://st.icann.org/icann-osc/index.cgi?gnso_operations_team.

Note that, as stated above, only minimal changes have been made to the
current text of the GNSO Council Rules of Procedure as it appears in this
document. In particular, no changes have been made in sections where it is
indicated that Bylaws changes or the work of the PDP Work Team may affect
the text. For example, in some cases sections that describe Constituencies
have not been changed to reflect the new bicameral structure as these
sections may be affected by Bylaws changes. Once changes to the Bylaws are
approved, I will update the document accordingly.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Julie

Policy Consultant
