[gnso-policyimpl-dt] Proposed Agenda - Policy & Implementation DT
Dear All, Please find below the proposed agenda for the next Policy & Implementation Drafting Team meeting (Monday 17 June at 19.00 UTC). You are encouraged to share your input on the draft charter (see attached) and other input received to date with the mailing list prior to the next meeting. As a reminder, per the call for volunteers, the focus of the subsequent WG is 'to address issues that have been raised in the context of the recent discussions on policy & implementation that affect the GNSO'. The only formal process that the GNSO currently has as its disposition to develop policy, is the GNSO Policy Development Process as outlined in Annex A of the ICANN Bylaws (http://www.icann.org/en/about/governance/bylaws#AnnexA) as well as the PDP Manual which is part of the GNSO Operating Procedures (http://gnso.icann.org/council/annex-2-pdp-manual-13jun13-en.pdf). Annex A does state that 'If the GNSO is conducting activities that are not intended to result in a Consensus Policy, the Council may act through other processes', however, to date such 'other processes' have not been formally defined (hence one of the items identified in the call for volunteers for the subsequent WG to provide 'recommendations on a process for providing GNSO "Policy Guidance").
