I have included my initial thoughts below. Chuck From: owner-gnso-policyimpl-chairs@xxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-gnso-policyimpl-chairs@xxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Marika Konings Sent: Wednesday, October 16, 2013 9:43 AM To: gnso-policyimpl-chairs (gnso-policyimpl-chairs@xxxxxxxxx) Subject: [gnso-policyimpl-chairs] WG F2F Meeting in BA Hi All, As indicated earlier, the PI WG F2F meeting in BA is currently scheduled for Wednesday 20 November from 7.30 9.00. However, looking at the latest internal version of the schedule, it looks like that contrary to previous meetings, some of the other sessions are already starting at 8.30 such as an ICANN Finance Open Session, EWG and EBERO. [Chuck Gomes] I will likely have conflicts with the ICANN Finance Open Session and the EWG sessions. As these sessions are likely to be a conflict for some of the WG membership, you may want to explore a couple of options to reduce the conflict: * Move the session to 7.00 8.30[Chuck Gomes] I am okay with this but it will likely limit participation even more than a 7:30 start time. * Shorten the meeting from 7.30 8.30[Chuck Gomes] I do not think this is enough time if we want to allow lots of time for audience input. It would be unfortunate in my opinion to limit the advantages of an in-person to only 60 minutes. * Move the session to 16.30 18.00 (only obvious conflicts for the moment would be IDN Variants, ATRT2 Wrap-up and the Technology Innovation Panel)[Chuck Gomes] I would like to participate in the ATRT2 Wrap-Up session but could listen to the MP3 and read the transcripts if necessary. * Keep the session as is[Chuck Gomes] I strongly prefer the first or third options above but will defer to the WG needs. Do note that this is still a draft version of the schedule and further changes may occur (but I'll do my best to keep an eye on those). I look forward to receiving your feedback.
