[gnso-ppsc] Deliverables from the PPSC Meeting

All,

 

During the call today, we discussed the following deliverables and
actions items:

 

1.        In the next day or so, Glen will forward a list of each of the
volunteers for the Two Work Teams.  It appears that we have a good
initial cross section of community members to begin work and in fact are
slightly ahead of the OSC in that regard.

2.       Comments on Interim Work Team Charters.  We are opening up the
two Work Team charters for an additional seven days of
comments/questions from members of the PPSC.  In addition, we will
forward the "Interim" work charters to the current Work Team mailing
lists to see if they have any initial comments.  The goal is to finalize
the Interim Work Team Charters on the next call (on Feb. 4th) and issue
a Consensus Call on those documents with the understanding that once the
Work Teams are formed, they can recommend additional changes to the
Charters for PPSC review.

3.       Comments on the Work Team Rules.   We are opening up the Work
Team Rules posted on the wiki for an additional seven days from today
for comments/questions from members of the PPSC.  The goal is to
finalize the Work Team Rules on the next call (on Feb. 4th) and issue a
Consensus Call on those documents with the understanding that once the
Work Teams are formed, they can recommend additional changes to the Work
Team Rules for PPSC review.  Also note that the Work Team rules will
govern both of the Work Teams.

4.       Interim Chairs.  On the call we decided to issue a Consensus
Call on the selection of J Scott and Jeff Neuman as Interim Chairs of
the Working Group and PDP Teams respectively until such time as the
Teams were constituted and could appoint their own chair.  A Consensus
Call was issued in my prior e-mail.

 

During the call we did discuss some comments on the Work Team Rules and
Liz will update them on the wiki.

 

Does anyone have anything additional to add?

 

Remember, the next call is on Feb 4th at the same time as our normal
calls.  At that meeting, aside from finalizing the Charters and Rules,
we will also discuss whether or not to continue PPSC calls every other
week or instead allow that time for the Work Teams to get some work
done.
