Thanks for a great meeting, attendees.  Action items from today are:

*       Faisal to bring info into next meeting regarding offensive
names/sites.  Question is whether there is something special about these, or
if it is a standard cybersquatting issue.
*       James and Mikey to write a paragraph on the fake renewal notice
issue.  We narrowed this down to the issue or registrars or resellers who
are doing something deceptive or fraudulent.  One question is whether it's
an RAA issue.
*       Marika to make inquiries about what data exists about tasting, and
whether the domain tasting group discussed kiting.  (BTW, we found multiple
definitions for kiting, some of which involved multiple re-registration, and
some of which did not.) 
*       Greg to contact ICANN Compliance (David Giza) about what his
department has about registrar WHOIS compliance.
*       Greg will mark up Berry's uniformity of contracts doc.

The Registration Abuse Policies Work Group call is scheduled to meet on
Monday 30 November 2009 at 15:00 UTC (07:00 PST, 10:00 EST, 15:00 London,
16:00 CET).  Access details have been circulated to members separately.  

 

Agenda is:

1. Roll-call

2. Cover proposed abuse topics TBD: Traffic Diversion, Offensive site, gripe
site, Fake Renewal Notices, WHOIS topics, use of stolen or fraudulent
credentials, Domain Tasting, Kiting, sale of counterfeit goods, false
affiliation and unauthorized use of logo.

3. Cybersquatting and Uniformity of Contracts groups revised text.

4. Doodle: schedule for additional meetings into February.
