Hello All,

With the holidays approaching fast I am not sure what we can get done on our
sub team but I thought starting a discussion on email would be a good start.

Synchronization/migration: what wouldbe the impact on the registry and
registrar WHOIS and EPP systems for thoseRegistries currently operating a thin
registry, both in the migration phase to 'thick' WHOIS as well as ongoing
operations?

Since I am not involved in a registry or registrar I am sure you have many more
thoughts on how this would work.

A few questions:

Does the registrar retain the full WHOIS record for thick WHOIS registries
currently or do they only retain the customer info which may include all the
Thick WHOIS information?

Since the registrars are already sending some WHOIS info to the registry for
.com and .net how would this impact synchronization if we require they send the
whole record.

Other than the magnitude of the number of records that a registrar would have
to submit to the .com registry how would requiring the whole record be any
different than what they are already doing with the other gTld registries?
