dear all

in addition to serving as your chair, i'm also a member of the GNSO SCI 
(standing committee on improvements).  we've been working on developing a 
"Working Group Self-Assessment" questionnaire, which many of you were kind 
enough to try out several months ago.  back then the goal was to test the 
instrument and your participation was really helpful in doing that.

now we're done, and i'm asking that we all go through that (really short) 
questionnaire again.  partly, this is to collect the information "for real", 
partly it's to see if we can get a higher rate of participation (only 8 out of 
32 of us completed it the last time), and partly it's to see if we can generate 
more feedback on the questionnaire process (a gold star goes to Tim Ruiz was 
the only person who did that).

no IDs or passwords are required and all of the background information and 
instructions are contained within the instrument.

and provide any free-form comments you may have about the process itself.  
here's a sense of what the SCI wants to learn:

·           Are the questions intelligible and is the wording clear as to 
intent?
·           Are the design and format straightforward?
·           Does the scaling (1-7) make sense?
·           Are the instructions clear?
·           Is the online presentation (QuestionPro) easy to complete?
·           Can the entire questionnaire be completed within 30 minutes?
·           Are there any important elements of the Working Group’s operations 
that have been neglected?
 
a thorough report/analysis will be published once all of the responses have 
been tabulated.  Anonymity will be protected, so please be honest.
 
the deadline for the Thick Whois Self-Assessment is 17 December 2013.   it 
really truly only takes about 10-15 minutes to complete.  
 
thanks in advance.  this is a great opportunity to let us know what went right 
and wrong in this WG, but it's also an opportunity to continue to contribute to 
improving the WG process for future participants.
