Dear Sir,
How do you propose to demonstrate to public stakeholders that the Top Level
Implementation Plan is not merely a scheme to generate huge amounts of
registration revenues and monies from bidding wars as entities scramble to
protect trademarks and intellectual property?
Icann is clearly failing to represent the public interest. No one could
possibly think that this was a good idea or that the implementation plan is
mature. This plan will almost certainly result in an unprecidented wave of
litigation, spoofing, fraud and illegal activity related to securing namespace.
It will confuse and alienate ordinary consumers.
It will put consumers at risk, since it will increase the scope for namespace
expoits, fishing, and spoofing.
What real, concrete benefit can you demonstrate as a result of this change?
Chris Ivey
