Olof, I took Paul to be saying that we had all agreed the word
*registrar* should be removed and that the change was currently
reflected on the wikki page. In any event, that's what I was agreeing
with.

Hi all,
Oh well, I changed the text back to include "registrar", recalling the
same discussion as Tim and Paul mentioned - then I read further inthe
thread and found Michael's comment and why "registrar" had disappeared
in the first place....
Do we agree on whether to include it or not?
Clarifications aren't always easy to do, it seems.

I just checked the wiki and don't see "registrar" in the text. We did
discuss this on the call (Mike O'Connor recognized the need to make that
change per an input from BC reps), and all agreed it was a good fix.

discrepancy between registrar and registry dates in whois records. I

that this usually applies to expiration dates. However, his point is a

one. By leaving some ambiguity about which source is authoritative in
regards to creation date (registry/registrar), we fail to completely
clarify
reason number 8. Therefore, I edited the proposed text to remove
registrar.
