RE: [gnso-vi-feb10] 6/28 VI Call Confusion

Let me explain.
There has been disagreement on whether there should have been a call on
Monday 28, as many people were travelling, including co-chair Mikey.
I have proposed to keep the call, to report to the folks that were unable to
make the Brussels meeting what did happen and where we are, **if there was a
request for doing so**. On Monday morning, I had received no such request,
and have therefore asked staff not to hold the call.
Unfortunately, I had no connection for few hours, and when my message was
sent, the call had already be announced. Therefore, a cancellation was
issued thereafter.
Knowing that there might have been some misunderstandings, I did call
anyway, receiving exactly the same reply from the operator you all had, i.e.
that the call was postponed one hour. I called one hour later, just to check
that nobody was online waiting for a co-chair to show up.
I am sorry for the inconvenience generated, but I am really convinced that
we could not have done much during the call anyway, due to a highly probable
lack of participants.

PS: the call on Thursday is confirmed. One more issue is the call nect
Monday, which I understand is a public holiday in the US. Personally I would
prefer to keep it, but if only very few people will attend there's no point
in keeping it. Maybe Mikey will launch one of his best seller polls!?!?
