Here is a very brief meeting recap for Whois Hypothesis Group meeting
that just ended.
 

1.      We confirmed the hypotheses done last week for Area 2, studies
16 & 22.
2.      We developed hypotheses for the following:  The rest of Area 2 -
Compliance with data protection laws and Registrar Accreditation
Agreement (#23, #24, #12, #13, #14); Area 3 -Availability of privacy
services (#2, #5, #7, #8); and Area 4 - Demand and motivation for use of
privacy services (#17, #18, #19, #9, #10).
3.      The following group members volunteered to develop draft
hypotheses for the next three areas as indicated: Tony Harris - Area 5,
Impact of WHOIS data protection on crime and abuse (#6, #13, #11, #1,
#2); Steve DelBianco & Steve Metalitz - Area 6, Proxy registrar
compliance with law enforcement and dispute resolution requests (#3,
#20, Metalitz comment, #12); and James Blidel - Area 7, Whois data
accuracy (#8, # 11).
4.      Chuck will forward suggestions from Eric Brunner-Williams for
hypotheses for GAC proposed studies.
5.      Liz will send a red-line version of the hypotheses developed
today and will post the new draft hypotheses to the list NLT 23 Jul 08.
6.      Next meeting: Tuesday, 29 July 2008, 15:00 UTC
