1. Section 3.2 "REVEAL" versus "on request rapid take down by Registrar when
timely RELAY or REMEDY fail".

Chair?s summary of discussion: Some agreement that if access proposals could
be simple, cost effective and rapid, they may fulfil most but not all of the
functions grouped under ?reveal?. There are certain reveal functions such as
finding out from the registrar who the registrant is, notice on those
engaged in criminal activity, and the potential cost of a manual process as
opposed to automated one if burden is made a registrar responsibility rather
than the responsibility of the OPoC.

*Philip will revise the report to reflect those views.

2. Staff report on authentication/accreditation

Maria summarised the report findings; saying the consultant did not believe
there is an organization that can accredit law enforcement agencies in the
US.

* Maria to circulate the consultant?s report

* Any comments on the report should go to the list.

*Dan Krimm to pursue relevant information about the Anti-Phishing Working
Group

3. Section 6.5; Can we conceive a practical means of authentication?

Call details will be sent shortly.

Work plan going forward;

Two more calls needed;

*Version 1.5 of the report issued (19 July) based on today?s discussions

*WG will discuss it in chunks to assess levels of agreement or disagreement

*Philip will post to the list on practical mechanisms for documenting level
of agreement in the report.
