The report has been forwarded to the GNSO Council for initial discussion on 
August 30.
 
As foreseen in the Council resolution of 9 August 2007, this working group and 
its mailing
list is now closed. 
 
As elected chairman of the group I would like to extend some words of thanks.
 
To my vice chairman and sub-group chairman, Jon Bing, for his in-sight and 
advice.
To the other two sub-group chairmen, Steve Metalitz and Milton Muller, for their
thoughtfulness in starting our discussions.
To ICANN staff Maria Farrell and consultant Liz Gaster for their diligence, 
patience,
guidance and clarity.
To all those for whom this was their first ICANN experience, for their 
tolerance.
To all those who made only constructive suggestions throughout, for their 
nobility of
spirit.
   
And to those who made personal comments, who criticised but never proposed, or 
who pursued
consensus-obliterating agendas, I extend my forgiveness and remind them of the 
words of
Thomas Szasz.
"The stupid neither forgive nor forget; the naive forgive and forget; the wise 
forgive but
do not forget."
