Please do not support the creation of a XXX domain

Members of the Board

As a wife and mother, I ask you to NOT open this avenue for pornographers.  
Pornography is the open door to a pathway that can lead to child molestation, 
sexual abuse of women and children and even rape and murder.  The statistics of 
this crime continue to escalate in our nation.  There is a parallel with the 
increase of pornography access in our nation.  The statistics are factual and 
they are there.  They cannot be ignored.  It is totally irresponsible and 
unconscionable that people are allowed to make money off of the suffering and 
victimization of others.

Neither ICANN nor the company urging the establishment of this new domain are 
arguing that the .XXX domain would clean up the .COM domain and require all 
pornographers to move to .XXX.  The .COM domain is a cash cow for pornographers 
and they are not leaving it.  ICANN has no enforcement powers to make them 
leave and thus clean up .COM.  Pornographers would simply expand to .XXX and 
maintain their current .COM sites, perhaps doubling the number of porn sites 
and doubling their menace to society.

Please do not create a .XXX domain.
