I Oppose the .XXX Domain

Dear Members of the Board of ICANN:

I am writing to urge you to kill the proposal of the .XXX domain. In  
addition to strong opposition from both sides of the argument, this  
new domain would only increase the amount of pornography available on  
the Web, easing accessibility to hard core pornography to minors and  
adults alike.
Pornography is a widespread, ever-growing crisis, polluting the minds  
of its viewers and negatively changing attitudes towards women and  
children. Please do NOT participate in the destruction of marriages,  
the abuse of children, and the demise of our culture. As it is now,  
two TV programs keep busy just keeping up with kidnapped, raped,  
murdered women and children and human trafficing! Why would you wish  
to buy into something that adds to the perversions of people who need  
enhancements to push them further to crimes, just as addictions to  
drugs are doing?
A more appropriate goal should be to STOP the distribution of this  
destructive material by prosecuting those responsible for it, not to  
protect pornography on the .XXX domain. It's all about money. Why  
would you contribute to benefitting people who produce pornography?
After all, a couple in the privacy of their own home can make all the  
photos they want just for themselves! So why contribute to crimes by  
people in the business for profit? A business that is extremely  
dangerous - many of the arrested killers and rapists are found to have  
porn they bought! And YOU want to contribute to that?
Again, please kill the proposal of the .XXX domain.
