the .xxx domain

I do not believe the .xxx domain will be of much help to filter 
providers (which, I believe, is the proposed reason for it). It would 
only be effective if there was adequate policing of the Internet 
requiring pornographic sites to be registered.
Another option, rather that establishing a domain, is to make use of 
ports. I propose you look into the CP80 initiative: http://www.cp80.org/
