Please redo the registry agreements for the .biz, .info and .org domains.
Domain names have become one of the most valuable aspects of the Internet.
Their value stems almost entirely from their static nature and the ability
of an organization, even a small one such as mine, to keep their domain
names over time.
Lifting the price regulations would simply allow registries to remove
domain names from their long term holders and give them to the highest
bidders.
Taking the step of lifting the price cap could very well fracture the
Internet. Large holders won't simply allow themselves to be blackmailed.
The smaller organizations will have little power, but the big players may
simply recreate a private DNS root and start over.
