Dear ICANN Board Members,
I am a retired educator trying to supplement an indadequate retirement plan.
Please do not implement the proposed variable pricing plan. This plan may be
fair for gurus and big shots who can afford such charges as just the cost of
doing business. It is not fair for the little guy who operates on a limited
budget.
Also, and perhaps most importantly, it will be almost impossible to fairly
administer such a system - either there will be too much subjectivity in
establishing and enforcing the criteria for the pricing or there will be a
requirement for information that will both invade the domain owner's privacy
and exceed the authority of ICANN.
The approval of this plan is sure to result eventually in Congress implementing
a system that protects the privacy of individual businesspeople - where this
may be
necessary in the future - it could lead to nation by nation implementing there
own system and causing confusion and disruption in the smooth efficient
operation of a world-wide internet system.
Yours Respectfully,
Val Spangler, Kid Knowlee Productions
