opposition to the Proposal to Protect International Red Cross and International Olympic Committee Names at the Top Level in New gTLDs

Dear Sir / Madam.

I oppose to the concept of pre-protecting names in new gTLDs, in a general
manner, moreover when such names are already under protection by trademarks
and commerce registration rules and laws, in particular when also the ICANN
has mechanisms that safeguard the holders of such brands and trademarks.

Furthermore, to commence a new pre-protection mechanism is to create a
serious precedent that will lead to further requests for protection.
