Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a non-commercial domain name user who operate a small number of
not-for-profit hobby sites, devoted to puzzling and other specialist
interests. In the past three years I have been aware of more and more domain
infringement culminating last year when I found variations of my key domain
names taken. I was advised that I could file UDRP actions but the UDRP is
too expensive and takes too long. Since then I have been a follower of the
ICANN site and I have read the IRT.
I would like to voice my support for recommendations that will stop domain
abuse. I like the sound of the URS as it will help small/not-for-profit
domain owners like me to tackle the infringers for a reasonable cost.
I also like the idea of requiring registrants to be honesta nd open about
their Whois details. It is too easy for crooks to hide.
Regards
Mike
