[jig] Final Call for Initial Report on Single Character IDN TLDs
Hi Everyone, As discussed in our conference call earlier in the week, please find attached the Final Draft for the Initial Report on Single Character IDN TLDs. Based on the discussion one change was included to Issue 5, to better describe the issue/situation of the emerging distinguishing factors between IDN ccTLDs and IDN gTLDs as described by the IDN ccTLD Fast Track and the New gTLD process (Applicant Guidebook). The current plan is to publish the Initial Report for public comments next Monday: July 26, 2010 for 45 days (ending Sep 9, 2010). Thereupon, based on the comments received, a Final Report would be drafted. The Initial Report is intended to be a stocktaking of the policy issues regarding the introduction of Single Character IDN TLDs and some viewpoints on possible policy implementations that could address those issues. The Final Report is intended to make actual recommendations (based on the comments received from the Initial Report). Edmon PS.
