A registries task is to register and maintain ownership of domains according
to ICANN's rules.
Once a domain is owned by a natural person or a company, it becomes his
asset.
So logically the domain owner is responsible for the domain.
Transferring oversight of content on a domain to the registry runs afoul of
these principles.
Iit seems however that certain "IPR" organisations aim at changing this
status quo for the .net registry.
This is unacceptable and ICANN should strongly reject these requests.
Please keep me updated on this as I own quite some .net domains and as a
citizen of germany I am bound to local laws and not US laws.
