Dear All,

It is obvious that the procedural obstacles and other accusations
(including lack of transparency) that have plagued our constituency
development will continue. It has become quite predictable that this tactic
is employed to disrupt NPOC's focus.

While I do think that it is absolutely necessary to rectify the membership
issues and dispel some of the absurd claims made; I recognise that NPOC
needs to take the stance as the stable and level-headed side of NCSG,
having open to engagement with different segments of ICANN and the ablity
to produce policy advice (either through the NCSG or independently as
necessary).

We have alot of work ahead of us, but we also have many strengths
including a strong and growing membership; a network of talented and
action-oriented representatives; a clear policy role recognised by
ICANN; among others.

What is necessary is that we change the dynamic of our engagement primarily
through meaningful output including policy advice (not necessarily through
positions). Indeed we have already started doing this through NPOC working
groups and events at ICANN meetings (and also at IGF).

I am also proposing that we take initiatives and utilise our networks and
technology available to help us work smarter in order to build
collaboration and output from our membership.

Looking forward to suggestions and further discussions on the above.
