Dear Colleagues,

This is what I propose for the next 12 months:

I will continue the work of increasing the international development of
membership in NPOC. It took almost 9 months of diplomatic work to get NPOC
accepted in the NCSG as a fully fledged Constituency. It was a long and
sometimes arduous process of keeping as much of the assets from the
original founding members, mostly but not only from the US, while bringing
in new assets from new members, mostly in the developing and emerging
economies. I think we should try to increase active members from the
current 34 to over 50 members over the next year.

I will bring in new volunteers to fill in positions for election that did
not attract nominations, namely the Membership and Communications Committee
Chairs. We will also need more new NPOC blood in various ICANN Working
Groups. We will be able to get more involved in NCSG Policy issues and even
introduce new ones, like the Internet Governance Alliance for instance. We
will continue to organize two relevant events at each ICANN meeting, in
partnership with NCUC, NCSG and other Constituencies as needed. Finally, I
will continue to advocate for raising the voice of NGOs of all size at
ICANN.
