[npoc] Re: Need to update the NPOC page on community ICANN

Dear Colleagues,

Berry Cobb or someone else hired by ICANN doing the updates seems fine to
me but if so, we need much more of his time and direct access to him so he
takes instructions and directives from NPOC - he can still do quality
control and normalization under ICANN's management and direction. Ideally
he would participate in NPOC  monthly calls for information and awareness.

Also, as the NCSG membership application system is in bad need of
improvements (which are not being carried out despite the Toronto decisions
that Milton and Klaus would get rolling) - NPOC would definitively say
broken! - NCUC would probably say perfect! -, NPOC needs to deal with that
in some way to establish transparency - I don't know how to do that short
of copying all NCSG-EC emails to npoc@xxxxxxxxx as currently NCSG-EC email
archives are privately stored in the IPJustice domain server, which seems
to me to be inappropriate, controlling and opaque... Maybe I should ask
NCSG-EC to migrate the email list to an ICANN space...? What do you think?

Also, the current applicants gets captured in a google doc but is not
publicly available.

Also, there is no accountability framework to keep the Chair, NCSG-EC and
the EC members in line for due diligence, fairness, and timeliness and
actually keeping commitments. So in fact it is a free for all...whcih
favors the status quo, ie dominance of NCSG by NCUC old-timers and NPOC
being kept on a tight leash..  If there is an accountability framework I
have not seen, it is ineffective!

What can anyone of you do to help with this if at all possible?
Suggestions? Advice would be great?

If anyone from NPOC or ICANN staff wishes to be taken off this email
