It is truly sad that ICANN has proposed using the TLD system as a profit
center for itself and registries.
Because it does not see the TLD system as a monopoly that should be
government regulated ICANN does not have the foresight to see the long term
effects of the disastrous policy of releasing price controls.
I truly hope that the long-term end result of this proposal is for ICANN to
cease to exist.
