extortion or theft

If the new proposal is adopted businees owners, entrepreneurs, domain 
investors, and domain owners will be faced with extortion or theft - it may be 
"legal" but it is what it is, either pay to keep your domain or lose it.

 There is no other option.

What kind of twisted, criminal mind came up with this "brilliant" idea? How 
does this help the Net? How does this help people? It doesn't.

The members of ICANN should also give serious thought to the amount of "bad 
will" and anger this would generate. Life is not a one way street...
