To Whom it May Concern:
Many FOSS (Free Open Source Software) users and GNU/Linux groups use
the .org TDL and must pay for that use out-of-pocket. It is unfair to
cripple the Open Source community by requiring that they must pay
extortionate fees to continue to operate or to maintain their search
engine ranking. This is contrary to your own statement as being for
"public benefit". Moves such as this can only harm the long term
future of the internet.
I know that this is primarily driven by revenue increases, but
administrative solutions in regard to technology have only stifled
innovation and has thus far been used to pad the wallets of
bureaucrats. Please reconsider the proposed agreements.
Thank you for your time,
Gary Hammock
