[To: liaison6c[at]gnso.icann.org; council[at]gnso.icann.org] [To: gnso-dow123[at]gnso.icann.org;pdp-pcceg-feb06[at]gnso.icann.org] Dear All, The GNSO will be meeting with the GAC in two open meetings in Marrakech, Morocco, to allow more time for discussion. One will be on Sunday 25 June 2006, and one will be on Monday 26 June 2006. The meeting on the afternoon of Sunday 25 June 2006, will be for the GNSO to brief the GAC on current policy development activities around new gTLDs, contractual conditions of existing gTLDs, and Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs). The meeting on Monday 26 June 2006 from 10:30am to 12:30pm has been arranged at short notice to accommodate recent requests from some GAC members to provide advice to the GNSO as it relates to the concerns of governments with respect to WHOIS policy development, particularly matters where there may be an interaction between WHOIS policies and various laws and international agreements, or where WHOIS policies may affect public policy issues. The GAC members are bringing some subject matter experts to assist in providing advice. Members of the GNSO Community will have the opportunity to ask questions of these experts.
