Proposed Advisory Regarding the Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy

   There is no genuine "confusion" within the registrar community
concerning the circumstances under which registrars may validly deny
transfer requests. Rather there seems to be a blatant attempt to exert
control over domains in violation of the Inter-Registrar Transfer
Policy, apparently in order to retain customers against their will.
    Web1Host has only experienced this problem a few times in the last
year but fully supports any "clarification" of limitations regarding
domain ownership and control, including the Transfer Policy, for
offending registrars.
