Verisign or Wal-Mart? Or are they the same?

Anyone who has tried to compete in small business when Wal-Mart moves into the neighborhood knows what an uphill struggle they face.

Why cave in to Verisign and give them the same type of position in the virtual neighborhood that Wal-Mart has in the brick and mortar one?

People who remember far enough back when Network Solutions was the ONLY game in town can remember how poor service was. Only competition brought a change in their day-to-day practices. And you want to eliminate that? For what???

This can't be good for small businesses -- or for hardly ANY businesses. The clear winner here is Verisign, NOT the consumer, not the reseller, not the virtual community.

Say "NO" to VeriMart.

Open the whole .com/.net up to other registry operators.
