ICANN and VeriSign Announce End to Long-Standing Dispute

Dear ICANN,

 

Endorse the ICANN-VeriSign agreement. It's good for the ICANN community,
industry and it's good for you. It's good for the ICANN community because it
shows you can take care of your own business. That's an important competency
to show with the WSIS process focused on Internet governance. It's good for
industry, both domain name sellers and businesses, because it means that
VeriSign won't introduce services that either cause disruptions. Approve the
deal so we can move past this.
