Applicant Support
CLO:hi
Karla Valente:Welcome to the May 20 Meeing
Eric Brunner-Williams:looking for the phone, will dial in shortly
Gisella Gruber-White:Do you have the number Eric?
Gisella Gruber-White:Tijani will join in 10 minutes
Eric Brunner-Williams:usa toll free: 866-692-5726 -- however, i have to wait
for the phone to charge minimally, my son used it last night to go to sleep
(viewing videos)
Gisella Gruber-White:Alan Greenberg has joined
Gisella Gruber-White:Eric Brunner Williams has joined the call
Gisella Gruber-White:Andrew Mack has joined the call
Gisella Gruber-White:Tijani has joined the call
Cintra Sooknanan:Finally in adobe connect
Cintra Sooknanan:Hello everyone
Cintra Sooknanan:I suggested some redrafts to make the comments more readable
Cintra Sooknanan:these comments were made in my email to the list on 19 May
Evan Leibovitch:This is easy toi fix. Wording that bases the staged payment
funds may add a comment that the amounts to be charged at each milestone are to
be adjusted based on the determination of the final fees.
Cintra Sooknanan:MY RE-WRITE FOR THE FIRST QUESTION-----ICANN previously used
figures in this range in 2000 and 2004. As the final fee is not yet fixed (see
fee reductions and elsewhere), this minimum applicant capability is subject to
increase, or decrease. Current offers of record by registry technical service
providers to potential applicants are significantly lower than this figure for
instance, In 2004 the total marketing budget PuntCat invested in .cat was 2,000
euros.
CLO:OK so lets modify the redraft above with some of the info just discussed
and specifically pointing out wht Eric just said
CLO:I agree Alan no pint in putting staggered reference in answere to THIS
questipon
CLO:No
CLO:recodrding
CLO:use the recording
Eric Brunner-Williams:@clo: yes, those "questions" were other than
expressions of neutral curiosity
Karla Valente:CLO or evan: could you please give me the text for the question
3.2?
Gisella Gruber-White:Elaine Pruis has joined the call
CLO:I keep loosiong the text I'm writting from the chat
Karla Valente:@Eric: could you please send me the revision in writting?
Eric Brunner-Williams:@karla: of course
CLO:try AGAIN GRRRR => Based response on Cintra's rewrite to say something
like this ... " The WG discussed this figure extensivly and considered it a
beter than best guess figure that was sufficiently significant to demonstrate a
degree of viability. thw WG discussed that ICANN previously used figures in
this range in 2000 and 2004. As the final fee is not yet fixed (see fee
reductions and elsewhere), this minimum applicant capability is subject to
increase, or decrease. Current offers of record by registry technical service
providers to potential applicants are significantly lower than this figure for
instance, In 2004 the total marketing budget PuntCat invested in .cat was 2,000
euros." or some such
Andrew Mack:good point Evan
Gisella Gruber-White:Sebastien is in the chat
Sébastien:Hello sorry to miss the call. I am in a Board - GAC both meeting
and conf call. We just finish to discuss JAS issues.
CLO:sebastien is on the call
Sébastien:just chat
Carlton Samuels:Hi Sebastien
Gisella Gruber-White:he is only in the chat, not on the phone line
Carlton Samuels:Any guidance you might have for us?
Karla Valente:@CLO: thanks. is this to replace all the current text?
Eric Brunner-Williams:@presenters, please make the chat larger, as the note
is user-scroll capable
CLO:Hi Seb we are wondering if we can feed back on th
Sébastien:All are agree that it is an importnat topic
Sébastien:need to have the feedback fo both groups
Sébastien:Already ALAC, GNSO and GAC to come
Sébastien:But the JAS need to go ahead
Alex Gakuru:We would appreciate continued cross-community WGs...
Sébastien:With if possible a meeting in SIN with both Board - GAC - JAS and
other AC and SO
Sébastien:A lot of discussion but JAS is the focal point for this important
issue
CLO:Such a meeting would be of great benefit Seb yes
Sébastien:I ask all that have idea to send to JAS
Alex Gakuru:SIN meeting would be great!
Sébastien:And may be also a conf call with participants form the Board and
the GAC with the JAS ASAP to prepare efficiently SIN
CLO:excellent we meet 2 x a week tell the others to dropin one time ;-)
Elaine Pruis:sebastian, a conf call asap would be fantastic
Sébastien:I will coordinate with the co-chairs of JAS and Katim form the
Board and GAC rep
CLO:include the Chaiors of the 2 CO's ALAC & GNSO as well Seb
Sébastien:ok
Sébastien:Maybe it can be usefull to have a JAS meeting prior to the join
meeting in SIN
Sébastien:it must be (I know it is complicated) saterday or sunday in SIN -
for the one who will be in
Eric Brunner-Williams:@presenters: thanks for expanding the chat area!!!
Andrew Mack:I agree with Alex. A Singapore meeting would be great
Alex Gakuru:I shall not be at the Singapore meeting. Wish you a great meeting.
Carlton Samuels:@Seb: can you organize with the others to meet?
Sébastien:I will figure out how we can do that. But I will join each concern
person
Alex Gakuru:Thanks Olivier... someboy complined that we are communicating
"direct" with the Board..
Alex Gakuru:oops "somebody complained" - typing with one hand...
Karla Valente:All: I made the request for a session in singapore. Any
conflict besides no being aligned with a Board/GNSO session? Any preference for
day/time?
Evan Leibovitch:This need not be complex. The Chair of ALAC -- a charting
org -- requests a public meeting and invites participation (and time
availability) from others.
Eric Brunner-Williams:tuesday is always good, it is just constituency day
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:tuesday impossible.
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:bacause it is constituency day
Evan Leibovitch:Monday -- possibly in parallel with a newcomers workshop --
might work. won't be perfect for everyone but nothing will be.
Sébastien:Sorry but it will not be totaly into your hands if you want to have
that before a GAC - Board - Jas ++++ meeting.
Sébastien:But I will keep you posted
Cintra Sooknanan:good bye
Sébastien:ASAP
CLO: is correct woth arrangements as well can be happy
Evan Leibovitch:Good meeting. Thanks.
Sébastien:Please add Katim to the JAS mailling list
CLO:Seb OCL contact you in follow up
Sébastien:He just tell me that he ask but he is not :(
Alex Gakuru:Thanks Sebastien, everyone for the great meeting
Carlton Samuels:If I'm not mistaken Katim already is a member.....Karla,
would you be so kind and check please?
Sébastien:thanks to you and your hard work
Sébastien:OK I will follow with OCL
Alex Gakuru:bye bye
CLO:Well for the record I'm not on the JAS mailing list weither so it is
kinda not in synch woth listed membership
Carlton Samuels:@CLO: Thanks very much for mastering the details!!
CLO:at least i do not g et mail from the list
CLO:so Katim might be in same sitiatio
CLO:but I do catch up 2 x a week so NP
Carlton Samuels:Huh? Karla, would you please confirm if CLO is on the JAS

CLO:Member yes mailiong non comes tneough
