Mismatch between .mobi owners and community served
In this proposal there is a clear mismatch between the potential owners and representatives of .mobi (Microsoft, Nokia, Vodafone) and the community they intend to serve (customers of mobile phones and services). These mobile phone and service customers are: (i) absolutely not represented in any meaningful way in the Mobi JV consortium, and (ii) also customers of other forms of communication devices, technologies and services and should not be locked into one specific category of service providers without their consent. The whole purpose of an sTLD is defeated with this proposal because the real community to be served is not represented at all.
