In the near future, customers will rely on Internet enabled phones that will use a mix of Landline, Cellular, Bluetooth and WiFi technologies; it will be very difficult, for example, to make a distinction between a mobile and landline user since they could be both simultaneously!
Therefore, granting a TLD on the basis of a network access technology, like GSM, is irrelevant because the future will be 'network neutral'. Thus, there is no point in this .mobi sTLD!
