How is it fair that Tralliance should be the registry
and initial registrar for .travel? All they have is a
concept. There is a great distance between concept and
working web site. New.net has already made the trip.
New.net already provides an existing registry, and
nearly flawless registrar performance.
How will Tralliance decide who is worthy of a given
.travel name? They state that only organizations in
the travel industry will have a legitimate right to
names. But how will they select between these
organizations in cases of conflicting rights? For
example, whom will Tralliance deem worthy of obtaining
city.travel? The New York tourism board? The Reykjavik
tourism board? How about cometoiceland.com, the
current owner?
Through their foresight and proven, excellent
execution, New.net has demonstrated their right to be
the .travel registry, and primary registrar.
