Comments on ICANN Strategic Plan (July 2009- June 2012)

size=2><div><br><div>Dear Sir,<br><br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp; The whole strategic plan 
is very comprehensive covering well defined priorities along with their 
milestones. Comments are as follow:<br><br><div style="text-align: 
left;">&nbsp;"<br>&nbsp;1. Both IDNs and new gTLDs will play an important role 
in future proliferation of Internet. It is good to know that ICANN is planning 
to get first ccIDNCs in the root by mid-2009. ICANN may also try hard to finish 
the review of new gTLDs applications first round by mid-2011 as this would 
assist ICANN to achieve the target of contracting at least 50 new registries 
and registrars by mid-2012.&nbsp; <br></div><br>2. Strong coordination between 
ICANN and other International forums / organizations will play an imperative 
role towards development of Internet and strengthening ICANN's 
multi-stakeholder model. ICANN's plans for participating in Internet governance 
debates are appreciable.
