Dear Sirs,

In my capacity as a German and European Trademark Attorney, I have noted
that, on October 31, 2007, the GNSO Council intends to vote on three motions
that will determine the future structure of the Whois system.

The Whois system is of utmost importance for me as it enables me to protect
my client's commercial interests. I am very concerned that abolishing the
well-functioning Whois system will make it more difficult to protect my
client's legitimate trademark rights from being attacked by counterfeiting
etc.

I therefore ask that the GNSO Council should reject Motions 1 and 3 and
adopt Motion 2.
