Whois System: Support Motion 2

To Whom It May Concern:

 

As a representative for a major brand owner and one who has various
violations of its brand name and trademarks on the internet, I agree and
support Motion 2 that the Whois System should be reviewed before
deciding to make a blanket decision to privatize all Whois information.
Tempur-Pedic as a brand and trademark has had many violations on the
internet and without the use of the Whois System we would have to spend
more time and company resources to research who owned a particular
domain that could potentially be infringing on our trademark(s).  

 

Tempur-Pedic strongly supports Motion 2, to conduct an objective and
comprehensive study of the Whois System and abuses and uses of the data
before further decisions are made.
