No More Pornography
Dear Sirs, Establishing a separate domain for pornographers will only serve to legitimize them. Further, relying on them to voluntarily move their junk from the primary internet domains to this proposed XXX domain is simply preposterous. These people have skirted the law and common decency forever - you'll merely create an additional playground for them while they continue to utilize existing domains for their e-mail compaigns and for commerce. I urge you to completely re-think this idea. You perform a far greater public servic if you focused on getting pornography off the Internet, rather than creating a "special" place for it. Why increase their "market" for them? Work on decreasing it. And, are you prepared, in a year or so, to follow this president setting action with, say, a "special" place for kiddie porn, or for the "Man/Boy Love" group. Or, is this new, XXX domain intended for them as well? Try to remember that whatever you subsidize, or! set-aside something different for, will simply grow in response to your offering.
