Instead of creating new namespaces everyone could stay in their current
namespace.  Publishers of adult material could choose to use ports other
then port 80 to protect themselves from the liability of harming minors.
Legislators could require companies in the adult industry to use specific
ports other then port 80 to empower parents to better protect minors.
Parents could ask ISPs to block ports used for adult material.

A voluntary .xxx TLD doesn't solve any problems in and of itself.  There are
already viable solutions such as the above mentioned internet channel
initiative that would be less disruptive then .xxx to all parties concerned.
